Mitchell is located at 397 Panama Mall. It
is across from the southwest corner of the Main Quad and at the end of Panama
Mall near Durand.
Use/Purpose:
Mitchell
houses departments within the School of Earth Sciences. Office space, labs, classrooms and meeting
rooms are located throughout Mitchell. The Branner
Earth Sciences Library is located on the 2nd floor. The elevator
provides access to all floors (SB, B, 1, 2, 3, 4).
Accessible Entrance:
The main
entrance to Mitchell is located via a ramp along Panama Mall and is equipped
with a power-operated door. Another accessible entrance is located on the
opposite side of the building and accessible via a pathway on Lomita Mall near
Durand. The elevator is centrally located once inside the main entrance. The
entrance to Branner Library is equipped with a
power-operated door.
Restrooms:
All restrooms
in Mitchell are wheelchair accessible. There are men¿s and women¿s
multi-occupancy restrooms on the first floor, located just inside the main
entrance and near the elevators. Additional multi-occupancy men¿s and women¿s
restrooms are centrally located on the 3rd floor and basement level.
The sub-basement has a multi-occupancy men¿s restroom and a multi-occupancy
all-gender restroom. Located within the Branner
Library on the 2nd floor is a women¿s multi-occupancy restroom and
an all-gender multi-occupancy restroom. There are no restrooms on the 4th
floor.
Parking & Transportation:
Disabled parking is located on Santa
Teresa Street near Lomita Drive. Additional disabled parking is available at
the Roble underground parking garage located along Via Ortega, near Santa
Teresa Street. Marguerite shuttle stops are located along Santa Teresa Street,
Via Ortega and on Serra Mall.
