Location Tip:

The David & Joan Traitel Building is located at 435 Lasuen Mall. It is across from the Main Quad and adjacent to Green Library.

Use/Purpose:

Traitel opened in 2017 and is affiliated with the Hoover Institution. The two-story building adds offices, meeting rooms, and conferencing facilities to the campus. The ground floor features the 400-seat Hauck Auditorium and Blount Hall (a multi-purpose dining room that seats 440 guests).

Accessible Entrance:

The main entrance of the Traitel building is located off of Lasuen Mall and is equipped with a power-operated door. Once inside, an indoor lounge area is located to the left and the reception area is to the right. From there, Hauck Auditorium is through a set of doors to the right. Blount Hall is down the hall beyond the reception area. There are also two accessible entrances at the rear of the building, which are both equipped with power-operated doors. From the parking area on Crothers Way, use the ramp behind Hoover Tower. There is also an accessible route between the Art Gallery and Traitel that has a ramp leading to the outdoor courtyard area. The elevator is located just beyond the reception desk and provides access to all floors (00, 1, 2). Note that card reader access is required to access all other levels of the building.

Restrooms:

All restrooms in the building are wheelchair accessible. Multi-occupancy men's and women's restrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors. Single-occupancy, all-gender restrooms are located on the 1st floor (past elevator) and basement level (card reader access required).

Parking & Transportation:

There is a limited amount of disabled parking along Crothers Way. Additional disabled parking is located on the Oval. The closest Marguerite shuttle stop is located on Jane Stanford Way, near the Art Gallery
