440 ESCONDIDO MALL, STANFORD

Building 530, also known as the Mechanical Engineering building, is located at 440 Escondido Mall.  It is adjacent to the Peterson Laboratory (Building 550) and behind Memorial Church.

Building 530 is occupied by the Mechanical Engineering Department.  Departmental offices and conference rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors and lab spaces are located on the 1st floor.  There is also a large classroom (Room 127) on the 1st floor.   

The main entrance is located on the north side of the building (Escondido Mall) and is equipped with a power-operated door.  Once inside, the elevator is to the left. The entrance on the south side of Building 530, across from Building 540 is not accessible.  There is also an exterior entrance to Classroom 127 that is not accessible.  The accessible entrance to Classroom 127 is via the entrances along Escondido Mall. 

Wheelchair accessible men¿s and women¿s multi-stall restrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors.  On the 1st floor they are located to the right once inside the entrance equipped with the power-operated door.

The nearest disabled parking is located in a small parking lot between the Daily building and Old Union.  Additional disabled parking is located on Santa Teresa Street.  The closest Marguerite shuttle stop is located at Santa Teresa Street and Lomita Drive or behind Tresidder Union on Lagunita Drive.
