Location Tip:

The Stanford Stadium is located at 625 Nelson Road. It is located at the corner of Nelson Road and Galvez Street, and across from Sunken Diamond.

Use/Purpose:

The original stadium was built in 1921 and after a $100 million project, the new stadium opened in 2006. The state-of-the-art stadium includes 50,000 stadium seats, skybox suites, 200 concession points of sale, an onsite stadium merchandise shop and two high-resolution video scoreboards. The Stanford Stadium provides reserved wheelchair seating in the upper bowl and the lower bowl. The upper bowl wheelchair seating is located along the north and south ends of the upper walkway in Row V of Sections 201-208, 218-228 and 238-240 (all upper bowl seating is in full sun). These seats are accessible via the elevator located near Gate 4 and/or 5 once inside, and via a ramp to the upper walkway. The lower bowl wheelchair seating is located at the top of each of the lower bowl sections in Row Y. These seats are accessible via any of the gates and through the accessible tunnels to the seating area in the concourse (full shade in the lower bowl sections). The Ticket Office is located near Gate 2.

Accessible Entrance:

All gate entrances to the Stanford Stadium are accessible. Once inside the gate, the lower bowl reserved wheelchair seating is located via the accessible tunnels, and the upper bowl reserved wheelchair seating is located via the elevator near Gates 4 and/or 5. Assistive listening devices are available at the Guest Services Station located at the south end of the stadium on the Main Concourse level near Section 104.

Restrooms:

Men's and women's wheelchair accessible restrooms are located throughout the Main Concourse level inside the stadium near sections 106, 109, 117, 122, 131 and 137. Men's and women's wheelchair accessible restrooms are also located along the upper walkway near sections 230, 233, 236 and on the Skybox level. In addition, accessible restrooms are located in the plaza just inside Gates 2 and 4 (other plaza restrooms are not accessible). A family restroom is located through the door beyond Guest Services in Section 104.

Parking & Transportation:

The nearest disabled parking is located within the Varsity Lot (L-97) on Nelson Road. Most of the Varsity Lot is reserved for disabled patrons displaying state issued placards/plates on game days. Additional disabled parking is located in L-95, which is located across from the Stanford Stadium and near Cobb Track & Angell Field, as well as across Galvez Street in the Galvez Lot (L-96). There is a Marguerite shuttle stop located directly outside of the Visitor Center at the corner of Galvez Street and Campus Drive. A drop-off is available in the Varsity Lot, via Nelson Road, near Gate 2. Please note: the Stanford Stadium does not currently offer a porter service (transportation) inside or outside the Stadium. Guests at the end of games that feel they need assistance can go to the Gate 3 medical tent and ask for assistance (rides are not guaranteed).
