The E.D. Stone Alway Building is located at 300 Pasteur Drive. It is connected to the E.D. Stone-Lane
Building and is across from the Fairchild Center.
Use/Purpose:
The Alway Building houses a variety of School of Medicine
departments. A variety of office
space and lab/research areas occupy all levels of the building. Large amphitheatre classrooms and smaller
multipurpose classrooms are located via exterior doors at the courtyard level
(1st floor).
Accessible Entrance:
All 1st floor
entrances to rooms in Alway are accessible via doors
in the exterior courtyard. There is
also an entrance equipped with a power-operated door on the south side of the
building (across from the Li Ka Shing Center) that
leads into an interior corridor connecting the Alway
Building and the Lane Building.
While there is no elevator inside the Alway
Building, there is an elevator in the interior corridor (left side) between
Alway and Lane that provides access to all levels (G,
1, 2, 3). The Alway courtyard is also accessible via two separate
corridors exiting the Lane Building.
Restrooms:
There are no wheelchair
accessible restrooms within the Alway Building. However, accessible men's and women's restrooms are located on the
1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors in the corridor
between the Alway Building and the Lane Building.
Parking & Transportation:
The nearest disabled
parking is located in Parking Structure 4 on Pasteur Drive. The nearest Marguerite shuttle stop is
located on either side of the Medical Center.
Points of Interest:
While in the area, visit
the SIM1 building, which houses the Dale Chihuly
Chandelier, Tre Stelle di Lapislazzuli.
