Building 170 is located directly behind Building
160 and across the courtyard from Building 10.
Use/Purpose:
Building
170 houses a variety of administrative offices, including University
Communications, Government and Community Relations, Legal Services and Public
Affairs. There are office spaces and conference rooms located throughout the
building. An elevator provides wheelchair access to all floors of the
building.
Accessible Entrance:
The main entrance to Building 170 is equipped
with a power-operated door and is accessed via the courtyard behind Building 10
or by heading east from Memorial Court. The 1st floor is the only
floor that is wheelchair accessible through this entrance and leads to the
Office of Public Affairs and University Communications. All floors of Building
170 (B, 1, 2, 3) can be accessed via the elevator in Building 160 or via
connecting doorways at the rear of Building 160 (near the elevator) to Building
170 (most are card-reader access only). From the Oval, use the ramped path to
the right of the steps to reach the arcade level. Turn left at the arcade and proceed down
the Outer Quad arcade. Building 160
is on the right side just past Building 120. Once inside the main entrance of
Building 160, head down the hallway to the left and the elevator is located towards
the rear of the building. The elevator is used to access both Building 160 and Building
170. Once inside the elevator, the panel to access all floors of Building 160
is straight ahead and reads accordingly:2nd floor - Administration

Restrooms:
There are no restrooms in Building 170.
Wheelchair accessible men's and women's multi-stall restrooms are located on
all floors between Building 160/170, near the elevator, and are accessed via
the doorway connecting Building 160 and Building 170.
Parking & Transportation:
Disabled parking is located at the top of the Oval
on either side for closer access to the front of the Main Quad. The closest Marguerite
shuttle stop is located directly in front of the Main Quad on Serra Mall.
Points of Interest:
While at the Main Quad, visit Memorial
Church or the Rodin Collection in Memorial Court. There are also several cafes
