The Sherman Fairchild
Science Building (Fairchild Center) is located at 299 Campus Drive. It is located between the Li Ka Shing Center and the Clark Center.
Use/Purpose:
The Fairchild Center
houses laboratory and office space in support of basic clinical science research
in a variety of disciplines. There is also a seminar room on the
1st floor and several conference rooms throughout the building.
Accessible Entrance:
The main entrance to the
Fairchild Center, equipped with a power-operated door, is located on the west
side of the building (across from the Li Ka Shing
Center). Once inside, the elevator
is located on the left side and provides access to all floors (G, 1, 2, 3).
Restrooms:
A
wheelchair accessible men's restroom is located on the 1st and
3rd floors and a wheelchair accessible women's restroom is located on
the ground and 2nd floors. There is also a wheelchair accessible
unisex restroom located on the ground floor.
Parking & Transportation:
The nearest disabled
parking is located in a small parking lot (L-15) to the southwest of the
building. Additional disabled
parking is located to the west of the building in L-16, L-18, and Parking
Structure 5. The closest Marguerite
shuttle stop is located on Campus Drive or on either side of the Medical
Center.
Points of Interest:
While in the area, visit
the SIM1 building, which houses the Dale Chihuly
Chandelier, Tre Stelle di Lapislazzuli.
In addition there are several cafes located throughout the School of
