The Gates Computer Science Building is located at
353 Serra Mall. It is located at the corner of Serra Mall and North-South Axis,
across from the David Packard Electrical Engineering Building and Gilbert
Biological Sciences Building.
Use/Purpose:
The Gates Building houses the Computer Science Department.
A variety of office spaces, conference rooms and lab areas are located
throughout the building. Large classrooms are also located in the basement.
Accessible Entrance:
The main entrance to the Gates Building is not
accessible. The accessible entrance is located to the west of the main entrance,
along Serra Mall, and is equipped with a power-operated door. Once inside, the
elevators are located to the left and provide access to all floors of the
building (B, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The accessible entrance to Room 100 (Seminar Room)
is located through the double doors on the right (equipped with a
power-operated door).
Restrooms:
All restrooms in Gates are wheelchair accessible. There
are two single-occupancy, all-gender restrooms on the 5th floor. All
other floors (B, 1, 2, 3, 4) have multi-occupancy men¿s and women¿s restrooms. Upon
exiting the elevator, the men¿s restroom is down the hallway, to the right. The
women¿s restroom is down the hallway, to the left.
Parking & Transportation:
The nearest disabled parking is located at the Roth
Way Parking Garage at the corner of Roth Way and Campus Drive. The closest
Marguerite shuttle stop is located on Serra Mall.
