1. Location Tip
The Huang Engineering Center is located at 475 Via Ortega. It is located in the heart of the Science and Engineering Quad (SEQ), adjacent to Y2E2 and across from the Nano Building.
The Huang Center, home of the School of Engineering, is a state of the art building. The 300-seat NVIDIA auditorium is located on the terrace level (basement level via elevator) and the Frederick Terman Engineering Library is located on the 2nd floor. Office space, classrooms and conference rooms are located throughout the building.
3. Accessible Entrance
Accessible entrances are located throughout the Huang Center. Power-operated accessible entrances are located at the north and south sides of the octagonal rotunda. An elevator is located in the octagonal rotunda and provides access to all floors (B, 1, 2 and 3). Interior corridors connect the rotunda to the Huang Center on all floors, except the 1st floor. There are also accessible entrances at the east and west sides of the building. The only step-free access to the terrace and the NVIDIA auditorium is via the elevator inside the rotunda. An interior corridor at the basement level connects the Huang building to the Spilker building.
Wheelchair accessible, multi-stall, men’s and women’s restrooms are centrally located on all floors. Wheelchair accessible single-occupancy, all-gender restrooms are also located on the basement level (down the hall from the men’s and women’s restroom and turning left) and the first floor of the octagonal rotunda. The all-gender single-occupancy restrooms also have accessible showers.
5. Parking & Transportation
Marguerite shuttle stops are located on Serra Mall near the front of the Hewlett Teaching Center and along Panama Street. There are two disabled parking spaces located directly behind the Nano Building on Via Pueblo. Additional disabled parking is located at Via Ortega Parking Garage (corner of Via Ortega and Panama Street).
