The David Packard Electrical Engineering Building
is located at 350 Serra Mall. It is
adjacent to the Hewlett Teaching Center and across the street from the Gates
Computer Science Building.
Use/Purpose:
The Packard building is the central location for
the Electrical Engineering department. The elevator provides access to
all floors (B, 1, 2, 3). Offices
and laboratories are located throughout the building and classrooms are located
on the 1st and 2nd floors. Bytes Café is located on the 1st
floor. The Hughes Electronics
Conference Center (Auditorium) is located in Room 101. Wheelchair seating
is located in the first row on either side of the auditorium.
Accessible Entrance:
All entrances to the building are wheelchair
accessible via ramps. The main
entrance is located on the northeast corner of the building (across from the
Hewlett Center) and is equipped with a power-operated door. Once inside
the main entrance, Bytes Café is located to the right and the elevator is
located further down the hallway to the right.
Restrooms:
Wheelchair accessible men’s and women’s multi-occupancy
restrooms are centrally located on all floors.
Parking & Transportation:
Marguerite stops are located on Serra Mall near the
front of the Hewlett Teaching Center. The nearest parking is located on
North Service Road behind the Gates Building. Additional disabled parking is located
along Via Pueblo behind the Packard Building, and on the Oval (at the end of
Palm Drive). The Via Ortega Parking
Garage is located at the corner of Via Ortega and Panama Street and offers
ample disabled parking.
Points of Interest:
Bytes Café is located inside the Packard Building
and an outdoor courtyard is located near the main entrance. Updated: 12/2017
