1.   Location Tip

The Hoover (Lou Henry) building is located at 580 Serra Mall.  It is adjacent to the Hoover Tower and is located at the corner of Serra Mall and Galvez Mall.    

 

2.   Use/Purpose

The Hoover building is home to many of the Hoover Institute Fellows.  A variety of office space and conference rooms are located on all floors. 

 

3.  Accessible Entrance

The main entrance is not accessible.  The accessible entrance is located via a ramp along Crothers Way between the rear of the Hoover Tower and the Herbert Hoover Memorial building.  Once at the top of the ramp, continue along the pathway and turn right to access the accessible back entrance of the Hoover building, equipped with a power-operated door.  Once inside this entrance, continue down the hall and turn left to enter the circulation area of the building. The elevator is located on the right and provides public access to the 1st and 2nd floors. 

 

4.  Restrooms

Wheelchair accessible men's and women's restrooms are located on the 1st floor down the hallway on the left side once inside the accessible entrance (south side of the building).  Additional men's and women's accessible restrooms are also located on the 2nd floor.

 

5.  Parking & Transportation

There is a limited amount of disabled parking along Crothers Way.  Additional disabled parking is located on the Oval or on Galvez Street.  The closest Marguerite shuttle stop is located on Serra Mall, just outside the Hoover Tower.

 

6.  Points of Interest
