1. Location Tip
Building 200, also known as the “History Corner,” is located at the northeast corner of the outer Main Quad. From the Oval, use the ramped path to the right of the steps to reach the arcade level. Turn left at the arcade and proceed down to the end of the Outer Quad arcade. Building 200 is on the right side just past Building 160.
Building 200 is occupied by the History department, Philosophy of Science, and Science, Technology & Society. An elevator provides wheelchair access to all floors of the building. There are office spaces and various classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, and conference areas throughout the building.
3. Accessible Entrance
The main entrance, located via the Outer Quad arcade, is equipped with a power-operated door. There are also two additional accessible entrances, one with a power-operated door, at the rear of Building 200 via the courtyard area. Once inside the rear accessible entrance adjacent to Building 160, a hallway on the left and through a doorway connects Building 200 to Building 160 on the 1st floor. Once inside the main entrance, the elevator is straight ahead and on the left side.
There are no restrooms on the 1st floor. Wheelchair accessible men's and women's restrooms are located on the ground level and the 2nd and 3rd floors.
5. Parking and Transportation
The Marguerite shuttle stop is directly in front of the Main Quad on Serra Mall. Disabled parking is located at the top of the Oval on either side for closer access to the front of the Main Quad.
6. Points of Interest
While at the Main Quad, visit Memorial Church or the Rodin Collection in Memorial Court. There are also several cafes in the Main Quad area, including Olive's (wheelchair accessible entrance to Olive's and outdoor courtyard available via the elevator in Building 160 to the basement).
